Micah Xavier Sandt (孫麥凱)

Born in Taiwan to French and Finnish parents, Micah Xavier Sandt (孫麥凱) works internationally as a musical director, composer, orchestrator, and performer for musicals, bands, dance companies, and choirs. He trained at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in London and earned his Master’s degree in Composing for Musical Theatre from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.

Conducting credits include ‘Last Night at Studio 54’ with Secrets Theatre, ‘Tabby McTat’ (Singapore Tour) with ABA Productions, ‘Sleepless’ with Analog Theatre Company, ‘Broken Circle Breakdown’ with The Caramel Club, ‘We Happy Few’ at Riverside Studios in London, ‘Into the Woods’ with The Thespians, ‘I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change’ with the Hong Kong Singers, and three musical gala shows with Shakespeare4All.

Micah has also conducted and arranged for a range of vocal ensembles and cabaret groups, including the Faust International Youth Choir, the Hong Kong Women’s Choir, and The Haywood Sisters in London.

As a composer, Micah has created original musical theatre works including ‘My Bubble and Me’ with Marsha Yuan, and ‘Gweilo’ with Pants Productions, which premiered in Hong Kong and toured to Paris. He has also composed period dance music for the UK television series Mary and George (Sky and AMC), as well as music for two ballets commissioned by Genesis Ballet in London.
