Jae Park
Jae Park, a Houston native soprano, is a graduate student under the tutelage of Dr. Carol Wilson at the University of North Texas. This season, Park will perform the role of Manuelita in Offenbach’s Pépito with The Dallas Opera’s Educational Outreach Program as well as Maguelonne in Opera Arlington’s production of Viardot’s Cendrillon. Recently, she performed as the Queen of the Night in Mozart’s The Magic Flute and premiered the role of Laura in Diogo Carvalho’s new opera, The Girl from Ipanema, at the Vienna Summer Music Festival. Her other notable roles include the Dew Fairy and Sandman in Humperdinck’s Hänsel and Gretel and Papagena in The Magic Flute with Luke Housner’s Summer Opera Workshop.
Since achieving her B.M. in Vocal Performance at the University of North Texas in 2019, Park has been involved in several opportunities to develop businesses and business projects, including sales execution in startup companies (ING Athletics – Dallas, Morning Acupuncture – Houston), fitness (Pure Barre), and most recently, in the entertainment industry with Magic Korea Entertainment (now Magic Korea Media), a startup entertainment company specializing in bringing Korean talent from overseas to the states to hold artist tours, concerts, or cultural events.
As the lead communications specialist at Magic Korea Media, Park has worked to bring partnerships, sponsorships and more with business leaders, fan groups and communities to create successful and long lasting relationships with MKM. With Park’s administration, MKM successfully held its first U.S. tour with K-R&B artist, JUNE, and concert with popular trot singer, Jang Minho in 2022-2023. Park also served as the Director of Operations at the K Plaza Arts Center (housed by Magic Korea Media) in Downtown Carrollton where she handled venue management, venue finances/accounting, venue/event inventory, venue/event sales, client relationships, guest experience, and more.
